My name is Yikai Wu (吴溢恺 in Chinese). I am an first-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Princeton University. I am in the Theoretical Machine Learning group.

My research interests lie on machine learning, optimization, and data privacy. I am also broadly interested in theoretical computer science and quantum information science.

I have received my Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Duke University. At Duke, I have worked with Prof. Rong Ge on deep learning theory, Prof. Ashwin Machanavajjhala on differential privacy, and Prof. Iman Marvian on quantum computation.

I have also worked with Prof. Nisheeth Vishnoi at Yale University on optimization with privacy guarantees.

Research interests: machine learning, optimization, data privacy
